How to import from an Excel sheet (XLS, XLSX) or Numbers sheet?

Are you using an Excel sheet or Numbers (mac) to maintain your logbook? Great news! You can effortlessly import your logbook into RB Logbook, streamlining your record-keeping process. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to make this transition seamlessly.

Supported File Formats

RB Logbook supports the import of logbooks saved in CSV, XLS, and XLSX formats, which are commonly used with spreadsheet software such as Excel. This means you can easily migrate your existing logbook data from these formats into RB Logbook.

Exporting from Numbers (mac)

The first step is to manually convert your current logbook data into our predefined import format. If you've been using Numbers on a Mac to manage your logbook, then export your sheet as a CSV file. RB Logbook works smoothly with CSV files, ensuring that your data is seamlessly transferred.

Direct Import from Excel

For Excel users, the process is even more straightforward. RB Logbook can natively import Excel files, eliminating the need for any additional steps. Simply select the Excel file (after you have converted it into our default format) containing your logbook, and RB Logbook will take care of the rest.

To ensure that all your logbook fields are correctly linked during the import, we require you to use our RB Logbook Excel reference templates. These templates are specifically designed to include all the fields needed for a smooth and accurate import process.
